Nick has been the assistant men’s soccer coach at Utica College since 2019, assisting the head coach with all facets of the program, including day-to-day operations, scouting, recruiting, and game and practice preparation. He is a Syracuse native and brings to the Syracuse Pulse a level of familiarity with Central New York and the Empire 8 Conference. Playing a season with the Onondaga Community College Lazers, Nick earned NJCAA All-Region 3 honorable mention.
He went on to play soccer for St. John Fisher College, where also coached with The Cardinals and earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management. As a player at Fisher, he did not miss a game for the Cardinals during the 2011 and 2012 seasons and totaled a goal and three assists from the midfield and 23 total starts. As a coach with Fisher, Nick coached five all-conference players in two seasons. Nick then went on to serve in a prominent capacity with one of the nation’s top clubs, Orlando City SC of Major League Soccer, where he served for three years as the assistant director of coaching for its development academy system, Orlando City Youth Soccer for three years. He worked with age groups ranging from under-8 to under-19, preparing players for high school, college, club, and professional opportunities in soccer. His time in the Sunshine State also afforded him the chance to assist in Division I ranks, serving as assistant coach at Stetson University and coaching three All-Atlantic Sun honorees with the Hatters. In 2017, he was an assistant coach with Seminole High School. His leadership guided the team to a Florida state semifinal appearance while they also captured regional and district championships.
